WINTER PARK – Seminole overcame a 4-3 deficit at halftime, outscoring Winter Park 8-2 in the second half to down the host 12-5 in the opening game of the Wildcat Invitational.
Sophomore Halle Zimlich had three steals to lead the way defensively for the Noles. Zimlich also scored seven goals and had an assist in the win. Junior Caroline Brown had three assists and two goals.
The Seminole girls have three games on Saturday, against Oviedo, Gulliver Prep, and Olympia.
The Noles boys are in action tonight (Feb 9) at 8 pm against Belen Jesuit in the tournament. Followed by games on Saturday.
