Seminole boys track, Tennis, softball grabs wins

High School Track and field

The Seminole boys won the Coach McPhearson Invitational 2026 with 164.5 points on March 27 at home. The Seminole girls were second with 141 points.

TENNIS
Seminole defeated Oviedo 6-1. Line 1 player Shreyas Korimilli led the Seminoles with two points. The Seminole girls defeated Oviedo 7-0. Line 2 player Chloe Moo played her best tennis of the season, earning two points in the win.

SOFTBALL

Seminole defeated Cornerstone Charter Academy 5-4 in eight innings March 26. Ava Hertz delivered the game-tying RBI single in the eighth, and Seminole secured the win in extras. Margaret Long earned the victory, allowing four runs (three earned) over eight innings.

On Friday, Seminole used production from the bottom of its lineup to secure an 8-4 win over Oviedo.

Liana Neal, Madie Baker and Maggie Long combined for four hits, three runs and an RBI to pace the Seminoles. Hurley Romero sparked the offense early with an RBI triple in the first inning, and Ava Hertz added a run-scoring groundout to make it 2-0.

An error pushed the lead to 3-0 in the third before Seminole broke the game open with five runs in the fourth. Neal delivered an RBI single, Samantha Davidson drove in two on a fielder’s choice, Marlana Winbush added an RBI groundout and Hertz capped the inning with a run-scoring single.

Anahi Arias earned the complete-game win, allowing four runs (three earned) on 12 hits over seven innings with three strikeouts and no walks. Emma Vreuls took the loss for Oviedo.

Romero and Baker each had two hits, while Hertz drove in two runs. Davidson also added three stolen bases as Seminole finished with four steals.
