Seminole sweeps Lake Mary for District titles

Boys down Rams 10-9, girls win 14-8

Both Seminole water polo teams headed into the District 1 tournament as the top seed, on April 4th both walked away winners as the boys won 10-9 and the girls remained undefeated on the season with a 14-8 victory to move to 26-0.

Cassidy Hardin had 14 saves, while Vivian Swain added 4 assists and Raelynn Bouley contributed 3 steals and 3 assists for the girls.

The ‘Noles boys won their first District title since 2022 and will enter the Regional Tournament 18-8 overall. Timmy Samples had 3 assists while Becton Suber and Iurie Cojocaru each had 2 assists. 

All rounds and games of the 2024 FHSAA Region 1 Water Polo Tournament will be played at the Larry A. Dale Aquatic Center at Seminole.

The top-ranked and number one seed Seminole girls get things going April 8th taking on eighth seeded Edgewater in the quarterfinals at 5pm.

As the top seed in the region, the boys start play at 4pm April 9 against eighth seeded Lake Howell.
