Seminole’s girls volleyball team rallied from a two-set deficit to defeat Lake Mary 24-26, 19-25, 28-26, 25-15, 15-8 in a five-set thriller. Lia Hufford led the Seminoles with 23 kills and 17 digs, while Ciara Vazquez added 18 kills. McKaylah Mattis contributed nine kills, 33 assists, 14 digs and four blocks as Seminole completed the comeback.
In girls golf, Seminole picked up victories over Hagerty, 178-224, and Lake Brantley, 198-205. Kiara Katina led the Seminoles against Hagerty with a 46, while freshman Jasmine Phogat shot 54 in her first varsity match. Freshman Izzy Boyles also made her varsity debut. Against Lake Brantley, Madison led Seminole with a 37, highlighted by a 15-foot birdie putt, while Katina carded a 45 to meet her personal goal.
The boys golf team finished second to Lake Brantley at Mayfair Country Club. Freshman Yosh Tiwary led Seminole with a 2-over-par 38, followed by sophomore Jackson Leonard with a 41. The Seminoles also fell to Lake Brantley 168-148.
In bowling, the boys defeated Lake Brantley 1,803-1,728 before falling to Lyman 2,531-1,816. The girls fell to Lake Brantley 1,435-1,358 before bouncing back with a 1,217-960 victory over Lyman.
