The Seminole girls lacrosse team made history on April 9, winning 19-9 against Matanzas marking the first time in program history the Noles have advanced to the District Semi-Finals.
Amaya Cadman led the Seminoles with 8 goals, 3 assists and 6 draw controls. Olivia Sprinkle scored 4, had 2 assists, 2 draw controls and 1 caused turnover. Addison Hayes put up 2 goals, 3 caused turnovers, 2 ground balls and 1 draw control. Goalie Ariana Keeling made 3 saves on 5 shots in the first quarter and Kaitlin Hough made 4 saves on 5 in the second, putting their save percentages at 60- and 90 percent respectively.
The Seminoles head to Lake Mary where they will face the Rams in the Semi-Finals on April 10. Game is set for 730pm.
BOYS LACROSSE: The Seminole boys downed Lyman 21-1 to advance to the District Semi-Finals on April 14 at Lake Mary. The Noles will face the winner of the Oviedo-Winter Springs match up.
WATER POLO: With a 12-1 lead at half, the Seminole boys finished out the game with solid defense to advance to their 10th straight District Championship Game after a 17-5 win over Lake Brantley on April 9. The Noles play Lake Mary at 7pm as they go for back-to-back District Championships. Mircea Timofti had 5 assists and a steal, Riley Tarkowski had 4 saves in the win.
Seminole girls held onto their 10-0 first quarter lead with defense, to advance to the Noles fifth consecutive Girls District Championship Game.
Seminole will play State Number 9 Lake Brantley in the Final April 10 at 6pm. If Seminole wins it will be its third straight District Championship.
Vivian Swain had 4 assists and 3 steals in the win to help lead Seminole.
SOFTBALL: Madie Baker hit a 2-run homer for the Seminoles while going 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the host Noles to an 8-3 win over Oviedo.
The JV Noles won 7-6.
