Soremi powers Seminole girls to first place

The Seminole girls had outstanding performances at the Coach Ernest McPherson Invitational taking first as a team with 144 points.

Dara Soremi had 4 first place performances in the 100, 200, Triple Jump, and 4×100 Relay along with Shelsy Burgos, Imani Reid, and Sidney Allen.

Sidney won the Long Jump with a Personal Best, missing the school record by 1/2″!

In addition to the 4x 100, Imani Reid won both the 100Hurdles and 400 Hurdles and finished 6th in the 100.

Shelsy Burgos was 3rd in the High Jump and ran on the first place 4×400 Relay with Reilly Walker, Vanessa Lowery, and Amirah Nock.

Amirah ran a Personal Best in winning the 400 along with placing 2nd in the Long Jump.

Other top performers were Gabby Menard placing 4th in the Shot and 6th in the Javelin.  Alicyn White,  placing 2nd in the Triple Jump with a Personal Best.  Natalia Voltaire, 5th in the 100 and 8th in the Long Jump.  Vanessa Lowery, 3rd in the 400.  Savannah Heilman, 4th in the 1600.

Maria Lozado-Carrillo, 5th in the 1600 and savannah, Maddy Coffee, Elizabeth Prudot and Rihanna Traveras 7th in in 4×800 Relay.

The Nole boys finished second with 90 points, Mainland took home top honors with 102.

Nazsir Given was first in the 400, Frank Hicks first in the 110 Hurdles, Chris Ross first in the High Jump and Alvin Moore first in the Pole Vault.  Second place performances were Jorden Pittman in the Pole Vault, Ken Holden in the High Jump, and the 4×800 Relay of Lucas Wells,  Matt Pruitt, Oscar Loredo, and Alex Plummer.  

Others scoring were Jayden Gabriel 7th in the Shot,  Jacob Cuthbert, 4th in the Javelin, Roberto Castillo 5th in the Javelin, Matt Pruitt, 6th in the 800, William Heilman, 6th in the 1600 and 8th in the 3200.  Deon Butler 5th in the Triple Jump, Marques Streater 6th in the Triple Jump, Kelsie Holmes, 7th in the 100, and the 4×400 Relay of Matt Pruit, Lucas Wells, William Heilman, and Alex Plumer, 6th in the 4×400 Relay
