Water polo cruises, Lacrosse wins

Seminole defeated Lake Howell 20-1 March 3 behind a dominant offensive performance. Liam Souza led the Seminoles with six goals, while Cade Lynady added five. Additional goals were scored by Robert Delany, Parker Mull, Parker Saben and Cooper Seibert.

Seminole fell to Lake Brantley 8-6 on March 8. Goals for the Seminoles were scored by Robert Delany, Parker Saben, Parker Mull and Jacob Cannone.

Water Polo – Forza Stefano Tournament

Both Seminole water polo teams captured tournament championships at the Forza Stefano Tournament.

The girls team went 4-0 with victories over Ransom Everglades (13-7), MAST Academy (18-12), Gulliver Prep (15-13) and Pembroke Pines Charter (19-11). Key contributors included Vivian Swain (15 assists, six steals), Halle Zimlich (three assists, 10 steals), Naia Hair (one assist, seven steals), Raelynn Bouley (six assists, 11 steals), Gabby Pierson (seven assists, eight steals), Abigail Coleman (seven assists, two steals) and Julia Pando, who recorded 26 saves along with five assists and five steals.

The boys team also won the tournament, finishing 5-0 with wins over Boone (10-5), Miami Country Day (15-13), Gulliver Prep (11-8), Belen Jesuit (12-8) and previously undefeated, No. 1-ranked Ransom Everglades in the championship game (12-9). Ethan Pierson totaled 41 saves, four assists and 10 steals. Other standouts included Brayden Tarkowski (five assists, four steals), Timmy Samples (10 assists, seven steals), Darian West (12 steals, six exclusions drawn), Becton Suber (nine assists, three steals), Luc LeRoy (two assists, four steals) and Adam Walker (four assists, 11 steals).

The girls improved to 18-0 and the boys to 16-3. Both teams will travel to West Orange on Tuesday for matchups featuring the No. 1 and No. 2 girls teams in Florida and two of the top four boys teams in the state.

Seminole downed host Lyman 17-7.

Softball

Seminole defeated Melbourne Central Catholic 4-1 on Friday, March 6.

Seminole took a 2-0 lead in the first inning after an RBI single by Mary Long and a Melbourne Central Catholic error. The Seminoles added another run in the third when Anahi Arias singled to center to make it 3-0.

Arias earned the complete-game win, allowing one run on six hits over seven innings while striking out six and walking one.

Ava Hertz and Marlana Winbush each had two hits for Seminole. Hertz, Arias and Long each drove in a run.
