Seminole swept the SAC water polo championships Saturday, with the girls winning their third consecutive title and the boys capturing their fifth straight.
The girls defeated Lake Howell 15-3 in the semifinals and Lake Brantley 15-7 in the championship to improve to 22-0. Halle Zimlich totaled four assists and two steals, while Vivian Swain added three assists and four steals. Gabby Pierson recorded three assists and 10 steals, Raelynn Bouley had three assists and five steals, and Naia Hair finished with three assists and eight steals. Julia Pando contributed six saves, five assists and allowed four goals.
The boys topped Lake Brantley 10-3 in the semifinals and Oviedo 19-10 in the championship, improving to 19-4. Ethan Pierson had 14 saves with three assists. Timmy Samples led with six assists and four steals, while Luc LeRoy added three assists and four steals. Brayden Tarkowski, Becton Suber and Adam Walker also contributed multiple assists and steals.
Both teams close the regular season this week, hosting Dr. Phillips on Wednesday and Oviedo on Thursday. Senior Night is scheduled before Thursday’s girls game.
