Boys Lacrosse wins, Water Polo sweeps Dr. Phillips

Seminole swept Dr. Phillips Panthers in water polo on Wednesday, with the girls winning 17-7 and the boys earning a 13-7 victory.

Julia Pando recorded 10 saves, four assists and a steal to lead the unbeaten Seminole girls (23-0). Vivian Swain added five assists and two steals, while Abigail Coleman and Gabby Pierson had two assists each.

Seminole will close the regular season at home against Oviedo Lions at 6 p.m. Thursday.

In the boys match, Becton Suber totaled two assists and three steals for Seminole (20-4). Brayden Tarkowski and Timmy Samples each had four steals, and Adam Walker contributed two assists and two steals.

The Seminole boys will also host Oviedo in the regular-season finale at 7 p.m. Thursday.

BOYS LACROSSE

Seminole defeated Hagerty Huskies 11-3 in boys lacrosse Monday.

Robert Delany, Carter Caissie, John Benninghove, Liam Souza and Parker Saben each scored goals to lead Seminole in the win.

GIRLS  LACROSSE

Girls Lacrosse lost to Timber Creek 13-3 on Senior Night.

TRACK

LAKE MARY Seminole turned in a strong showing at a track and field meet in Lake Mary, with the boys finishing second and the girls placing third.

Khalia King led the Seminole girls as a double champion in the high jump and pole vault. Meeshia Sumner won the triple jump and long jump, while Raniyah Thomas claimed the javelin title. Zamaya Brown took first in the 400- and 200-meter races.

The girls 4×100-meter relay team of Sumner, Reagan Edwards, Jasmine Pendley and Dorian Ruffin also won, along with the 4×400 relay team of Brown, Pendley, Lana Lancdddsss and Doriah Ruffin.

For the Seminole boys, the 4×100 relay team of Quentin Washington, Ryan Campbell, Stedman Nicoles and Jelani Williams captured a title, as did the 4×800 relay team of Gio Rodriguez, Joseph Fisher and Bryce Hammond.

Individually, Quentin Washington won the 100-meter dash, Brenden Christian took the 400 hurdles, and Fisher and Rodriguez placed first in the 800. Akshay Bangalore and Hammond led the 3200, while Jayden Daniels won the high jump. Hammond added a javelin title, and Jonathon Brooks won the shot put.

The boys also closed with a win in the 4×400 relay behind Rodriguez, Brandon Washington, Campbell and Maleki Jonez.
