Win sets up district showdown with Lake Mary
ALTAMONTE SPRINGS – Seminole scored early and often to move to 3-0 in district and set up a title showdown with rival Lake Mary, as the ‘Noles dropped Lake Brantley 48-0.
Senior quarterback Karson Siqueiros-Lasky finished the night 11 of 14 for 272yards and five touchdowns in the rout.
“It was good to get Karson going early,” coach Karl Calhoun said after the game. “To get our passing game going, he made the right reads and some great throws.”
Heading into the game with the Patriots, Calhoun said the plan was to work on the Noles passing attack which has struggled at different times through the season.
“We wanted to establish our passing game and it just worked out,” the coach said.
With the win, the Noles have a show down with rival Lake Mary which sits tied with Seminole for the district lead.
“It’s for the district championship, it’s Senior Night against (Lake Mary).,” Calhoun said. “We will be ready for it.”
Game time is set for 7pm on Oct 27.
