OVIEDO – Behind strong finishes from its top three runners, the Seminole boys finished seventh to qualify for the Regional Cross Country meet on Nov 10 in Jacksonville.

“It’s been 15 years since they qualified for regionals so this is so exciting” said coach Mai Tran.

Part of the success for the boys came in the strategy in the way the runner grouped during the race.
“We had two groups basically,” Tran said. “We had the top three and the next three in another group. They try to stay together and push each other.”
