WINTER PARK – Josiah Shackelford had 22 points to lead the Seminoles to a 68-54 win over Winter Park and a third place finish in the Winter Park Rotary Tip Off Classic. Brayden Tarpley added 15 points in the win.
The night before, the Noles lost a nail-biter to Dr. Phillips 64-63. Dequan Ross, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, had 18 points to lead Seminole. Shackelford added 12.
Seminole hosts Lake Brantley on Dec 6. Freshman tip-off at 4:30 followed by the JV (6 pm) and varsity game (7:30 pm).
Seminole Boys take fifth
WINTER GARDEN – Behind titles by Andres Sanchez (150), Jack Caissie (175) and Jeremiah Williams (190) Seminole took fifth place as a team in the Gauntlet on the Grove at Horizon High School.
Jerome Johnson (285) took second for Seminole.
