TALLAHASSE –As he has much of the season, William Heilman’s led the Seminole boys as they finished 22nd at the FHSAA State Cross Country Meet at Apalachee Regional Park.
Heilman’s 16:40 was good for a 78th place finish out of 240 runners.
The boys came in 22nd out of 32 teams in the Class 4A Florida State Championship.
“They came into the meet ranked 27 out of 32 so their performance was solid,” said coach Mai Tran. “This is not a fast course, rolling hills are the course’s signature.”
Tran said the team ran well with personal records set by Lucas Wells (17:03.5), Mathew Pruitt (17:15.5), and Oscar Loredo (18:03.3) in the meet.
Top performances were by Will Heilman who finished 78th out of 240 boys with a time of 16:40 followed by Roman Bugos (108th) with a time of 17:00 minutes.
